The ZiggyCam will be live for the month long trip. With the exception of when anchored after dark (i.e. saving battery usage rather than broadcast a cam feed of the dark) or during a rare lack of cellphone signal the cam will be live 24/7 along with the chat room even miles offshore. The soft goal this year is to hit Mackinac Island and round Drummand Island at the top of Lake Huron before heading back home to Detroit.
Day five has been another lazy day hiding out on the dock watching the weather blow through
Steve and I rolled out this morning to find high winds and an endless series of thunderstorms just missing us to the north.
We wandered up to the White tail Cafe for breakfast, stopped into Klenow's Market for a couple of fresh Italian Sausages for the grill and hit Barnacle Bill's Bar for a Jack and diet or two before heading back to the boat.
The afternoon was soon dominated with Dead Guy Ale and good tunes from the hammock while steve hid below out of the sun reading a book.
Once Jane got free from work she grabbed the little one and came by to pick us up. We went north of town to Pattis Kountry Kitchen for a great dinner and hit Save More for some cheap dry goods to stock up the food stores on board.
Then it was back to the boat where the little one and I went night swimming for good half hour.
The radar picked up a storm front brewing so the girls hightailed it home.
The weather is looking so so tomorrow but I think we are headed out anyway. The next stop will be Harrisville where we will settle into their awesome anchorage area.
