Friday March 2nd 2012: Chris spent the day wiring the trailer lights and finishing off the yak racks on his van and when all was done it was already midnite. Even after being up 24 hours he was still gunning to wrap it up and pick up Jim about one am and head to dtw to get me by 3 am...then head south with me at the wheel. The winds are blowing around 40 mph and all hell is breaking loose here on the dock. My boat is rockin n rollin so I made the call to wait till daylight to start the circus rolling so if there is any trouble with the yaks on the roof etc it will not be a life or death adventure on a dark windy freeway. Our last run with the 3 of us to florida in 1989 included a roll over accident in ohio (and an armed confrontation with a thief in our Key West motel room at 2 am)...no need to get crazy on the road, save that for florida.

The only anchor on our timeline as of right now is a kick ass Efficiency on Matlacha Island Fla reserved for Tuesday through Thursday. Knoll's Court Motel. The Osprey room (#6) is all ours! Then we are off to the start of Daytona Bike Week for a day or two where my long time friend Detroit Debbie has hooked us up with a friends property to camp on right near the action!!.
