The Night Assualt, day one
After chasing down the last "gotta do's" we left the dock around 7pm. My crew this week is the famous Kevin. Also onboard for this night sail are my dock neighbors Traci and Sara. Shortly after getting out on the big water the Sun set and the Moon was bright. The wind was light and northerly. The water started out smooth and grew into 3ft rollers with the passing 4fter mixed in to make it fun. The Peregrine loves these kind of waves and charged through them like a train off the track. We were out of our brain on the 5:15!. We fetched Port Sanilac around 2am and Traci threw the anchor over to end a wild night sail. Like any meaningful Pillage we had our casualties along the way(damn rookies). But nothing a miserable day long hangover won't cure!! We plan on riding the hook (anchor) here for at least one more day waiting for a crew member to catch up to us. Hopefully the forecasted rain will pass by then......Zig
